Mission

To provide a flexible operating system infrastructure capable of running critical systems, supporting open and standardized data structures, allowing source code to be reviewed when necessary, and adaptable to diverse requirements — with the ultimate goals of reducing foreign dependency in the field of information technologies, strengthening cybersecurity, and ensuring cost efficiency.

To contribute to reducing external dependency and enhancing Türkiye's effectiveness in software technologies by adapting free software to local requirements and ensuring seamless integration.

Objectives
  • To regularly release an operating system distribution that is user-friendly and offers full Turkish language support.
  • To leverage the strengths of existing Linux distributions.
  • To provide software under the Pardus Project umbrella that delivers advanced centralized management, auditing, and monitoring capabilities, enabling use of subprojects when required.
  • To ensure multi-installation and automation capabilities.
  • To offer end users the easiest possible installation and usability experience.
  • To maintain a modular and flexible structure suitable for diverse use cases.
  • To deliver an operating system capable of efficient resource utilization and high performance.
  • To contribute acquired improvements back to upstream sources.
  • To maintain active collaboration with the upstream distribution (Debian) (Debian Derivatives Census: Pardus )
  • To have developers recognized as official contributors to the upstream distribution (Debian).
